Character Acting Study Experience how to play the subtext in a scene using different methods for analyzing characters. In this class, students will learn to develop a single purpose for the actor. This course will teach students the importance of character analysis as it applies to the role, the scene and the entire performance.

Master Cold Reading with confidence. In this class you will develop the ability to interpret dialogue in the moment while staying in character. We will show you audition-winning, proven techniques to cold read and interact with scene partners. You will learn to take sides and immediately begin to build the character. Students learn to make real honest choices on demand, while staying focused and motivated.
The 5 C’s of Comedy
This class explores the 5 general areas where comics will make their livelihood; Clubs, Colleges, Casinos, Cruise-ships & Corporate. This class will explore the methods to obtain employment at these places; and will also provide the vital information of who to contact; and will give tips to learning how to manage and maintain continuous employment opportunities at these venues.
Produce & Promote your own Room
Are you tired of begging for stage time? Discover the valuable tips and methods for starting and developing your own comedy night. Use this class to learn the tactics that will help to locate, negotiate terms and promote a night of comedy you can call your own.
Stand up Showcase Techniques
Got a big showcase? Every comic will have to showcase their talent for a TV scout, casting agent or club owner at some point in their career. Every comic should have a routine to succeed when it’s their time to be in the showcase spot light. This class will equip every comic with tools and techniques that will provide confidence which is a key ensure success when it is time to showcase.
Financial Preparation
Having poor credit and being unprepared for financial success is no laughing matter. Many comics joke about having bad credit and it is unnecessary. Comics should understand the financial ups and downs that come with being in the entertainment business and prepare themselves for it. This class will also enlighten comics on tax preparation, unemployment insurance and credit repair.
Devil in the Details – and Other Small Print – Contracts 101
What does all the mumbo-jumbo mean on those papers they throw at you just before you walk on stage? The bottom line isn’t money – it’s the line where you signed your name. The money is hidden in many places and between the lines. Before you sign on the dotted line, you will have a much better foundation about the many forms of compensation, up-front deposits, initial compensation, residuals, royalties, merchandising, supplemental markets and buy-outs.

This seriously fun workshop gives comedic students an opportunity to sharpen their dramatic and improvisational skills in a uniquely engaging, enlightening and educational format. Dealing with the serious topic of HIV/AIDS/STD prevention, students will interact and participate in partner negotiation/refusal skills and coping skills role-play. In a room full of comedic artists, the students will put their best theatrical talents in play as they address the Hollywood lifestyles and it’s effects. Professionals from the acting community and HIV/AIDS/STD Awareness/Prevention fields will observe and assess which performances merit a PSA. Open to all levels.
